Lena Arndt
Lena has been a 4-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 7 years.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, a certified Nursing Assistant & CPR Certified, plus the Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team.  She was a Regional Qualifier for both her junior and senior years.  She was also a USTA Super Champ her sophomore year and a CATA MVP.  She volunteers at the Ride On Center for Kids serving both children and adults with special needs.  She will be studying Nursing at Texas A&M Corpus Christi University and hopes to have a career as a nurse as she continues to follow her passion of helping others.

Samantha Clark
Sam has been a 4-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 9 years.  She is a USTA Champ, a GHS District Champion and was awarded the 2013 CATA Player of the Year along with the Aggie Award for most outstanding player at the Texas A&M Tennis Camp.  She has been very active at GHS as Student Council VP, a National Honor Society Member, a Blue Crew Member, a Photography Club Member and received a perfect score in a State UIL Art Competition for Photography.  She will be pursuing her passion in architecture while majoring in Environmental Design through the Department of Architecture at Texas A&M University in College Station.

Parker Kallman
Parker has been a 2-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 6 years.  He was a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist and has been a member of the National Honor Society (with a 4.0 GPA).  His other activities include the Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, PALS Program & the Science Club. He has been very active in USTA tournaments and played at Line 3 Singles and Line 2 Doubles for GHS.  He has earned the Golden Eagle Award & was Academic All-District and All-District as well.  He will be pursuing an undergraduate and masters degree in Coastal Engineering through the Engineering Honors Program at Texas A&M University (2nd best Ocean Engineering Program in the U.S.) 

Rachel Maloy
Rachel has been a 3-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 9 years.  She is a member of the National Honor Society (top 10% of her class), Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, FFA, Peer Buddies & Archery (qualified for Nationals 3 years).  She reached the level of USTA Champ and played Line 2 singles and doubles at GHS.   This student athlete was also a CATA MVP and has volunteered many hours as a Jr. Camp Counselor at the Georgetown Tennis Center.   She will be attending the University of Texas at Tyler to pursue a degree in Pharmacy and will try to “walk on” to the collegiate tennis team.

Victoria Kainer
Victoria has been a 3-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 6 years.   She is a member of the National Honor Society (top 4% of her class), Mathletes, Rho Kappa, German Club, Delta Epsilon Phi, the GISD Aerospace Engineering Program & the Engineering Club. She played Line 3 Singles & Line 2 Doubles for EVHS.  She will follow her passion and will pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering at a school to be selected soon.  She has been accepted to the Aerospace Engineering programs at UT Austin, Texas A&M and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (among others).

Dane Strandboge
Dane has been a 3-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 7 years.   He is a National Merit Commended Scholar along with being a member of the National Honor Society (4.0 GPA), Mu Alpha Theta (VP), Engineering Club & UIL Computer Science Team Captain (District Champion).  He volunteered his time as a tennis coach the Georgetown Tennis Academy and Cimarron Hills along with his volunteer time spend at the Animal Shelter & at the Austin Greyhound Adoption Group.  He played both singles and doubles for EVHS and was a 2-time District Champion. He will attend the University of Texas at Austin this fall and will major in Computer Science. 

Alexandra Yeager
Alexandra has been a 4-year varsity letterman and has been playing tennis for 10 years.   She was active at EVHS as a member of the National Honor Society (4.0 GPA), the French Club and the Interact Club.  She is a USTA Super Champ and was a 3-time John Newcomb Tennis Ranch Scholarship winner & was selected to play on their traveling team.   She is a 3-time District Champion and a former MVP for EVHS.    She has also found time to volunteer many hours at the WILCO Animal Shelter, for Meals on Wheels and at the Baptist Children’s Home.  She will attend the University of Texas at Austin and will follow her passion in Geological Sciences and eventually to medical school.
