Named in honor of Jane and Charles "Coach" Nelson, the Nelson Tennis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. Through scholarships and grants, the Foundation works to support the game of tennis in the Georgetown community.

Since 1999, the Nelson Scholarship Program has helped seniors on the Georgetown High School Tennis Team pursue their dreams for a college education. Using money raised from individual donations and from the annual Nelson Scholarship Tennis Classic and Auction, the Foundation has been able to award $54,000 in scholarships to 27 deserving student athletes.
